August 02/09 - Sunday - Fathers 4 Justice Canada - Vancouver team members participate for the fourth year in the Vancouver Pride Parade.
F4J Canada members, Proud To Be Parents, arrive in the staging area of the parade for 11:00 am, compliments of the F4J Limo. Together
team members ready their float, enjoy some fellowship time and are ready to roll for 12:30 pm. In thirty degree temperatures and sunshine
the parade begins, winding itself through the downtown core of Vancouver BC. With over 600,000 spectators in attendance Fathers 4 Justice
Canada's float was very well received with many smiles and cheers from the crowds. Our float as you will notice from the pictures and video
footage consisted of a thirty foot trailer and upon it structures, flags, banners, 1000 watt sound system, great tunes and a mock family court
with Justice Dread presiding. There was a total of 19 everyday heroes upon our float this year and these also included in costume, the BC Hulk
(Kevin Christiaens), Robin QC (Hal Legere), Metropolis Superman (Murray Williams), Victoria Spiderman (Stephen Hodges Whittaker), Spider
Woman (Susanna), Venom (Simon), V (Mr. T), Wonder Woman (Susan Gibson), Cat Woman (Birgit), Fire Fighter (Peter Ku), Captain Condom
(Chuck Copeland) & Burnaby Batman (Rob Robinson).
Once more this event proved to be a successful opportunity to deliver our message of equality to the masses. On behalf of Fathers 4 Justice
Canada we would like to thank all those who helped in making our participation in this annual event a reality.
