Fathers 4 Justice Canada - Nov.15/08 - NWT - Plywood Man Participates In Santa Parade
PLYWOOD MEN marched in solidarity on November 15th/08, for the fourth consecutive Fathers 4 Justice Canada entry in the Yellowknife Santa
Clause Parade. The City of Yellowknife designated ''Xmas Tunes'' as the theme for this year`s parade. While waiting for the parade to begin, a
group of females complained about our theme (DADS NUTS ROASTING ON AN OPEN FIRE) so a City events planner stapled white sheets of
paper over the word ''DAD'S''. The paper came off a short while later. We further showcased the Fathers 4 Justice Canada SUPERSONIC PLY
MOBILE. We also stapled a paper sheet with our second tune ''Jingle Bells; Family Law Smells: Biased all the Way'' but it fell off on the way up the
hill, LOL. We tossed out 300 bags of candy and F4J stickers for the children and handed out 200 F4J PMM - 483 postcards. Attached to the
postcards was an information sheet pointing to the next Dads North Association (DNA) meeting. We received allot of laughs, good camaraderie and
many photos were taken. Special thanks to PLYWOOD MAN'S apprentices for helping string the lights, locating a last minute generator and active
participation.
