Fathers 4 Justice Canada - Feb.13/09 - Regina Saskatchewan - "Heart Break Hotel Demo Action"
Today, Feb 13/09 at noon, F4J Sask members and supporters gathered at the Regina Court of Queens Bench on Victoria Ave. It was a rather
frosty prairie day (my guess -20) which may explain the lack of TV media today, oh well, however a Leader Post newspaper reporter did arrive
on time. In retrospect I am thinking we should have moved our party into the Heartbreak Hotel itself, how else could "Elvis have left the
building"?, perhaps next time, I will discuss it with Elvis's agent. Our Bondo unit proudly displayed our broken heart and scales of injustice for all
to see. The ambient music kept the mood lively with the following tracks:
(1). Get Up Stand Up - Bob Marley, (2). Were Not Going To Take It Anymore - Twisted Sister, (3). Revolution - Beatles, (4). Heartbreak Hotel -
Elvis Presley, (5). Stop Kicking Our Hearts Around - Buck Owens, (6). Tiger By The Tail - Buck Owens, (7). Land Of Confusion - Genesis,
(8). Hole Hearted - Extreme, (9). Would you Like Fries With That - Tim McGraw,
I knew the volume was just right when heads would turn in our direction and near the end of our hour a gentleman warned me that Regina has
noise bylaws, I accordingly politely thanked him for the information. The noon hour rally went by quickly as it is also a great social opportunity for
members to meet and catchup as there was much chatter, of teeth at least, lol. A fun and COOL time was had by all who attended and showed
their prairie pride. My thanks to all for commemorating Regina's first annual Heartbreak Hotel rally and in showing their support for our members
across Canada. Our unified efforts will bring about the social change desperately needed in FLAW (Family Law).
